Aggregate Recycling

An excellent track record with diverting large volumes of aggregate waste from landfill

Recycling waste aggregates

Evans Aggregates has worked with the Environment Agency and various other bodies for many years both disposing of, processing and recycling aggregates for use in the construction industry.

Where possible any waste material moved will be recycled. The company has an excellent record with large volumes of waste diverted from landfill. This will increase as we now have use of a soil washing plant to add to the scope of recycling that is possible.

Net Zero targets

The introduction of legislation and the pressure to meet net zero targets have affected the way all construction companies, suppliers and end users approach material supplies.

The pressure on businesses to use materials from more sustainable sources, specifically aggregates is a prime example of this.

Recycled aggregates

Using recycled aggregates reduces the amount of virgin aggregates produced and therefore means less use of natural resources.

There is also increasing pressure on landfill capacity, and hence pressure on construction sites to divert waste away from landfill to meet UK and sustainability targets.
